The Los Angeles (LA) Korean Cultural Center announced on the 29th that it will host a ‘Korean Culture Day’ event on the 4th of next month (local time) at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This event, which marks the first Korean cultural event organized by the LA Korean Cultural Center in Albuquerque, aims to introduce the vibrant aspects of Korean culture to local residents who may not have frequent opportunities to experience it.

In collaboration with the University of New Mexico, the event will feature programs where participants can engage in traditional Korean games like tuho (arrow-throwing) and jegichagi (Korean shuttlecock), as well as try on hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) and sample Korean snacks. Additionally, there will be activities such as writing names in Korean calligraphy and an impromptu K-pop dance session for attendees to enjoy.

Moreover, as part of the Sejong Cultural Academy program offered by the Sejong Institute Foundation, a ‘K-Beauty’ event showcasing Korean cosmetics and makeup techniques will also take place. Sangwon Jung, Director of the LA Korean Cultural Center, stated, "Since last year, we have been working to spread Korean culture across the United States by organizing ‘K-Culture Programs’ in regions without Korean Cultural Centers. We plan to continue offering a variety of programs in collaboration with related organizations."
